The Walking Dead Trailer: Meet Alpha and Beta!

Fresh off the shocking conclusion to the first half of The Walking Dead Season 9, AMC has unveiled the first trailer for the second half of the season. 

As expected, our heroes are in mourning after the loss of Jesus, but they won't get long to come to terms with the death because there are some new villains on the horizon. 

The Walking Dead Season 9 Episode 8 that the Whisperers are not newly evolved walkers. 

Instead, they are humans donning walker skin with the aim of blending in with the walkers. It's actually a neat trick to navigate the post-apocalyptic world.

The issue for our heroes is that these people can hide in plain sight and flip the script whenever they want to. 

It seems the Saviors were just the tip of the iceberg, and the Whisperers are going to shake the show up for good. 

The trailer also offers a glimpse of Alpha (Samantha Morton) and Beta (Ryan Hurst). 

Fans of the comic will know them very well, and if you're just being introduced to them for the first time, you're in for a real treat. 

AMC has also confirmed that The Walking Dead Season 9 will resume Sunday, February 10 at 9/8c. 

Fans have a lot to think about as we head into these uncharted waters with the new villains.
