Mary in Rose and Gold
Mary isn’t, overall, a fan of sleeves. This gown proves she can pull them off without worrying whether they will age her, as they still show off some skin with the mesh inlay. The rose and gold brocade fabric is perfect for a picnic, as it sets her out like a flower against the foliage.
Regal Mary
Is 15-year-old Mary a queen or Francis’ prom date? Sometimes it’s difficult to tell. This is straight out of the 21st century and it wouldn’t surprise me one bit to see Reign-inspired fashions showing up in formal wear magazines soon. Teens and young women alike would want to wear this gown, don’t you think?
Lola in Green
Mary captured the attention in her rose gown, but her Ladies’ Maids are new without their own gorgeous attire. Lola shows she can old her own in this full-skirted pale green gown, accenting her lovely shoulders.
Toe to Toe Fashion
The Queens Mary and Catherine go toe to toe in this shot. Youth versus experience only shows that fashion never dies, it only grows with she who wears it. Notice how dark haired Mary wears an equally dark dress with blond inlays while Catherine’s ensemble is the opposite. They are perfectly matched.
A Gorgeous Dress
This is yet another beautiful piece that could easily be worn by today’s bride, bridesmaid or prom date. The bodice has intricate beaded detail set off with a similarly beaded belt matching the flowing color in the skirt.
Queen Catherine in Moss Green
The moss green velvet gown Catherine is wearing is her casual attire. I imagine it’s not only comfortable but fits like a glove, making her feel like she’s wrapped in a warm, body hugging blanket. The stones across the bodice mean she doesn’t have to waste time looking for matching jewerly, because this one comes ready to wear.
Mary in White
Everything about this dress is stunning. From the heavy lace overlay to the fitted bodice, it accentuates Mary’s beauty. The red headpiece adds a nice touch of color and who wouldn’t want that necklace? It would make a lovely modern bridal gown.
Metallic Mary
Something as simple as a silver metallic open knit crop with 3/4 sleeves over a grey and white gown gives Mary a look she’d never believe — she could be rocking out in the 1960s. That’s the one piece I most want to incorporate into my wardrobe because of it’s many possibilities. Mary looks modern, vintage, Elizabethan and spectacular.
Sleepwear
Who knew sleepwear would be so fashionable? No wonder they have no qualms walking through the castle. It looks like they’re ready for a nice spring day instead of just having awoken from slumber. Technically three fashions, but one fashionable idea!
The Queen Reigns
Despite the mistress in teal, only one woman truly stands out. Queen Catherine. Her gown, overcoat and choice of accesories perfectly accentuate her regal stature and standing in the castle. Her fashion doesn’t wear her, she wears her fashion.
Bash Kicks It Up
Bash was used to simple clothes and he had to kick it up a notch when he was made regent at the request of Mary. With this fashion in shades of brown, Bash has maintained his style while dressing more befitting his new stature.
Lady in Red
Lola is lurking about the castle in black and red, a unique choice of color for a young girl her age. It’s similar in style to the white gown we saw Mary wearing earlier, but takes on a completely different tone because of the color combination. Together they’d make a striking couple.
Francis in Leather
Francis’ more casual look with the leather pants and patterned short coat with a simple undershirt show he’s the prince without flaunting the fact. He owns the castle, Bash or not Bash.
