Dexter Cast Dishes Spoilers at Comic Con

at . Comments

Michael C. Hall and the rest of the cast of Dexter (including upcoming guest star John Lithgow!) were on hand at Comic Con to discuss the upcoming season four.

So just what did each of the cast members reveal about the upcoming season?  Michael explains, "The theory of being a father appealed to Dexter...but he didn't appreciate how trapped it might make him feel and how difficult it would be to exercise his compulsions."

Hall continues, "Dexter feels a connection with the child that he doesn't feel with anyone else," he said. "His blood is in the baby's veins. He can say anything to that baby he wants and we might see some of that."

You can watch Michael C. Hall answering his questions in video form and read the rest of the cast's response after the jump.

Julie Benz dishes that, "Rita finally has it all—the husband that she always dreamed of she has a beautiful home, healthy kids. She's in a grounded, earth mother place—her life is exactly what she wants."

Jennifer Carpenter says we'll see her character, "move out of the shadow of Harry and unplug certain cords that don't fit with Dexter and every move she makes will be about herself.  I don't know if she will be happy in the end, but it will be the most authentic she's been."

Meanwhile, Lithgow kept his mouth shut about his character, but did say his "first victim is High Commander Dick Soloman. I think we need to rest my zany television persona from 3rd Rock from the Sun." Love that guy.

Dexter Quotes

Deb: (excitedly) A baby? a motherfucking rolly-poly, chubby cheeked shit machine? Are you kidding me?
Dexter: I've never heard it described in quite those words before, but yeah.

Tonight's the night. And it's going to happen again, and again. It has to happen. Nice night.
