The Vampire Diaries and Melrose Place: More Episodes to Come!
Matt Richenthal at .Great news, viewers of The CW: there's plenty more blood sucking and lip locking to come!
The network has picked up The Vampire Diaries for a full season of episodes, while Melrose Place won't be going off the air any time soon.
The decision to extend the former show for 22 episodes was a no-brainer for The CW: the drama thriller earned the network's best premiere ratings of all-time and has remained strong on competitive Thursday nights.
Conversely, ratings for Melrose Place continue to falter, which is why it's only received an order for five additional episodes.
However that number could go up if Heather Locklear can have a positive impact on the series. She debuts on November 17.
