American Idol bid farewell to a performer last night that:
- Is male
- Probably overstayed his welcome long ago
The first item is a first for an American Idol results show in six weeks, since the judges didn't let Casey Abrams' elimination stick, and the second point could apply to various people. One girl, Haley, ended up in the bottom three, but survived.
So who's out? Paul McDonald, Jacob Lusk or Stefano Langone?
It was a good run, but Paul McDonald is goin' back to Huntsville.
Joined by Haley and Stefano on the block, Paul's gravelly voice and Southern charm carried him a long way, but just couldn't get him over the hump again.
"It's OK, man, it's OK. It's been fun, a good time," Paul told Ryan, before J. Lo offered a request for one more performance of Rod Stewart's "Maggie May."
For the first time in awhile, fans might agree that it really is OK.
What do you think? Did America make the right call this week? Did Stefano or Haley (or someone else) deserve to go home instead of Paul McDonald?
