Game of Thrones Season Premiere Clips: Let the Games Begin!

at .

I want you to be prepared for the excellence that is Game of Thrones.

Providing you with as much information as I can, I want there to be no doubt what an incredible story you will witness when you watch. Honestly, I don't think the world is prepared for what this presentation will do for the future of screenplay adaptation.

It's simply groundbreaking.

I've spoken with the writers/producers, the author of the books and shared tweets with the lovely Sophie Turner, who plays Sansa, a character I disliked immensely in the books. When Sophie became Sansa, she brought such humanity to the role I couldn't help but feel her plight.

During the conference call with George RR Martin, that was one of the things he was most looking forward to hearing; whether his characters, brought to screen, would be seen differently than they were in the book. I told him what I felt about Sansa and he was thrilled.

In the five clips below, you'll witness the arrival of King Robert at Winterfell to visit his old friend, Eddard Stark and his family. There are several scenes of the feast thrown in the King's honor highlighting the precarious relationship between the Starks and the Lannisters.

A favorite is the clip wherein Eddard's bastard Jon Snow meets the Lannister family equivalent, Tyrion. While nobly born, Tyrion is treated in the same manner as Jon, because he is an imp.

In the final clip, we briefly glimpse the Targaryen siblings, as Daenerys meets her future husband, Khal Drogo, for the first time.

Prepare to immerse yourself in the world of King's Landing, Westeros, and don't forget to watch this Sunday on HBO!

So what do you think so far? Is your heart thumping with anticipation? Yes!
