Roseanne Barr: Returning to TV?

at .

Her most famous TV appearances over the last few years have been on commercials for Snickers. But Roseanne Barr may soon be a sitcom star again.

Chelsea Handler tells The Hollywood Reporter that she has approached the comedian to play a role on Are You There, Vodka? It's Me Chelsea, the NBC sitcom based on Handler's memoir/life.

"I'm talking to Roseanne Barr to do some guest episodes as my aunt," says the talk show host. "She's interested in doing it, so it should be fun."

The series, starring Laura Prepon in the lead role and Handler as her sister, will premiere in midseason on NBC.

Roseanne will actually be featured in a Lifetime reality show prior to that, showing viewers what it take to run a 40-acre macadamia nut and livestock farm in Hawaii. No, really.

Would you welcome Barr's return to the sitcom world?
