With Matt Davis now officially a member of Cult, and Vampire Diaries spoilers making it apparent that Jeremy really will be joining his former history teacher in the Great Classroom in the Sky, we've been reminded of just how many Mystic Falls residents we've lost over the years.

There have been sisters. Aunts. Love interests. Father figures. Best friends and a whole lot more.

So, yes, we may need to sadly update this list after tomorrow's new episode, for now, let's all sit back, mourn and remember:
