Cobie Smulders Confirmed for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. made it official at Comic-Con today:
Cobie Smulders will appear on the premiere of this wildly anticipated drama as Agent Maria Hill, her role on The Avengers.
“I wanted very much to have Cobie in the pilot because as much as anyone else, she IS SHIELD,” writer-director Joss Whedon told EW in a statement. “She’s cool and commanding, and has the dry humor that plays so well with Clark’s. Also, if she’s in it I get to hang out with Cobie.”
It's unclear just how often the actress' How I Met Your Mother schedule will permit her to appear on the series, but fans can expect to see her beyond the pilot.
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., meanwhile, debuted its first episode this afternoon at Comic-Con. We'll post our initial thoughts on it shortly.
