It's nearly move-in day, TV Fanatics.

The CW has released its first set of photos from The Vampire Diaries Season 5 premiere, which airs on October 3 and which will jump ahead a few months to Elena and Caroline's first day as freshmen.

We know the young ladies will encounter a shady professor at Whitmore College (played by Rick Cosnett), but what else will their first year away from Mystic Falls bring? And how will Jeremy handle living with Damon... while conversing with his ghost of a girlfriend?

Steven R. McQueen shed some light on his character's position during our recent set interview with the actor, and now fans can see Jeremy in Season 5 action for themselves. Click on the following photos for larger versions and let the countdown to the premiere begin!
