Matt Richenthal at .This is the sort of news that might even put a smile on Captain Holt's face:
Fox has picked up Brooklyn Nine-Nine for a full season, ordering nine additional episodes of the comedy for a total of 22, and also handed it the most coveted spot on television.
As hyped in a Fox press release, the Andy Samberg-anchored sitcom will air a "one-hour comedy event” after Super Bowl XLVIII on Sunday, February 2, 2014.
“It’s exciting to see that both critics and fans love Brooklyn Nine-Nine as much as we do,” said Fox Entertainment President Kevin Reilly. “With Andy and Andre out in front of this incredible ensemble, it feels like this show is going to be around for a long time.”
Earlier today, CBS also announced full season orders for a trio of its new comedies: The Millers, The Crazy Ones and Mom.
