Forget the Big Game.

Fox is pulling out all the big guest-starring stops for the two shows that will follow the Super Bowl in February.

First, as previously reported, Prince will guest star on New Girl. And now E! News confirms that Adam Sandler will make an unusual venture on to the small screen and join friend Andy Samberg on Brooklyn Nine-Nine.

It's unclear whether Sandler will portray himself or some character in that sitcom'e universe, with Fox remaining mum on the casting news overall.

But this is the latest piece of very good news for the series.

The freshman show also received a nomination for comedy series and lead actor (for Samberg) for the 2014 Golden Globes yesterday.
