Matt Donovan did not appear on The Vampire Diaries Season 5 Episode 9 last week. Perhaps we now know why. He's been working as a personal trainer!

At least that's the case in a scene from Thursday's midseason finale, "Fifty Shades of Grayson." His client? None other than the aging Katherine Pierce.

The cured vampire is determined to look hot again, and stave off Father Time. Good luck with that effort ... though it begs the question, which Matt asks:

Why not just have somebody turn her?

No go, Elena's doppelganger says, however smart the idea seems. What happens when she tried that? You'll have to hear her response for yourself.
