Jennifer Carpenter is returning from the dead.
The beloved Dexter star, whose character was controversially killed off on the Dexter Season 8 finale, has landed the lead role on ABC's Sea of Fire.
The pilot, written by Scandal's Jenna Bans, centers on three young girls who star in an X-rated movie. These roles tear their families apart and result in a disappearance, a homicide and many other mysteries within a previously-idyllic town.
TV Line broke this exciting piece of casting news.
If ordered to series, Sea of Fire could end up on ABC's 2014-2015 schedule.
