Sherlock is alive and well, folks.

Not just the series, of course. We mean Sherlock himself, who returned to our lives and, more hilariously/disturbingly, to the life of John Watson on last night's Sherlock Season 3 premiere.

It was an extraordinarily entertaining return for the British hit, even with John sporting a ridiculous mustache.

We learned why Sherlock faked his death and what he's been up to since seemingly leaping from that roof last year... although we didn't learn how, despite many attempts by one fan in particular to figure it all out.
