Mistresses Review: Sexy Smoldering Sex on Canvas

at .  Updated at . Comments

April took finding her inner artist to a whole new level on Mistresses Season 2 Episode 2 when she and sexy, smoldering (aka Daniel) hit the sheets yet again.

And then they hit the paint canvas for another romp that may have ruined some sexy lingerie but looked well worth it all the same.

Savi Heads Back to Work

If this is what April meant by getting in touch with her artistic side, we're all for it... along with all of the completely gratuitous shots of Ricky Whittle's abs, back and anything else they'd like to show us.

But the moment April mentions her kid, Daniel seems to back off by telling her he's got to go out of town for a week…maybe more. Yeah, that sounded just as lame to our ears as it did to April's…but not so fast.

Apparently Sexy, Smoldering isn't done yet. He sent their love making immortalized on canvas to her with a note saying he can't wait to see her again.

It looks like April's wild woman, inner artist made quite an impression and not just in paint.

Elsewhere Savi heads back to work but finds that Toni is hard to ignore as she explains in this Mistresses quote

Her cleavage is like a whole other person in the room.

Savi

Yeah, Toni's all sorts of flirty, tight dress, sex on two legs kind of trouble - but the real issue may be Savi's insecurities about how she and Dom got together. What is it they say? Once a cheater, always a cheater? Savi reminds Dom that they're both capable of incredible deceit.

Does that mean the past will repeat itself?

Later, Savi turns things around by telling Dom that they chose each other even when it wasn't the easiest thing to do. Perhaps she could have remembered to close the blinds. That would have been easy. Instead she has Toni tan, Tony taught, Toni tumbling out of her v-neck, watching them make-out through the window.

And that scheming little grin on her face just screamed of trouble to come.

Karen Kim was almost back to Mistresses Season 1 normal this week as I found myself yelling at the screen during more than one of her scenes. First, even though she's so terrified of Elizabeth Grey that she's having a breakdown in her own office, she ends up meandering through the psych facility and having an impromptu sit-down.

Seriously? Who does this? I slept with your husband and your son. You tried to kill me but murdered your son instead. Let's chat a while and catch up on old times.

Luckily for Karen, Mrs Grey is still behind bars because I'm just not buying the forgive and forget schtick.

Then Karen invites her patient in for her session and tells her, "Why don't you call me Karen?" How about because you're her doctor and she has mental issues already and perhaps professional boundaries are in order?!?

Given Karen's history of getting too chummy with her patients, "boundaries" are clearly an issue for the good doctor.

On to Joss, who has a rocky time of it with Harry as they work on their first venture. But first, I have to give kudos to one of my favorite lines from Joss when April asked her about Savi and Dom having sleepovers…

Second chance at life sex, it's louder than normal people sex.

Joss

But back to Joss and Harry: am I the only one thinking there is a Joss and Harry coming this season. I loved that Joss confronted him about being a controlling, overbearing ass during their first venture together but he seemed a little too eager to declare them partners when she was willing to forgive him.

So just how long will it be until these two almost-ex-in-laws hit the sheets?

And tell us, TV Fanatics, which story line are you hottest for on this season of Mistresses?
