Rebekah Mikaelson made her long-awaited return to New Orleans on The Originals Season 2 Episode 8.

But her reunion with Elijah didn't go as planned, considering he's still under Esther's control in some way, prompting Rebekah to call Klaus for help and arrange to meet him someplace safe.

On December 8, meanwhile, The Originals Season 2 Episode 9 will air, featuring another long-awaited reunion; this one between Hayley and Hope.

Based on the following promo, Esther will also come face-to-face with Mikael, a scene we can some up with a single word: GULP.

According to the official CW synopsis for "The Map of the Moments," Cami will learn that Esther's plan will place her life in danger, while Kol will open up to Davina about a spell he created in 1914.

Esther will also form an "unlikely alliance that could prove dangerous for Klaus," while Hayley will continue to ponder her decision to marry Jackson.
