NBC Schedules Final Season of Parks and Recreation

NBC has announced both the premiere date and finale date of Parks and Recreation Season 7, which will mark the final run of episodes for this Amy Poehler-anchored sitcom.

The TV Fanatic favorite will return  will return on Tuesday, January 13 at 8/7c with a pair of episodes.

It will then continue to air back-to-back new episodes all the way through its finale, which will be an hour long and take place on February 24, receiving a boost following an episode of The Voice. 

Searching For a BFF

Via press release, NBC says this strategy allows for "a sendoff that will maximize the show's cultural impact," though some fans have responded to the news by wondering why NBC would burn off the final season of Parks and Recreation.

But whatever.

We should just be thankful there actually is a Parks and Recreation Season 7 to burn off, considering the state of this show's ratings over the years.

And in related exciting news that has us LITCHerally more psyched than we've ever been in our lives... Rob Lowe and Rashida Jones will return for an episode!
