The Vampire Diaries is about to lose a series regular.
But at least this individual won't be joining Lexi and company on the now-destroyed Other Side.
"[Jeremy] is going to art school," Creator Julie Plec tells TV Guide of the young Mr. Gilbert.
"We'll see what his next path and journey is, [but Steven R. McQueen] is all grown-up and ready to move on, so we're saying goodbye to him as a series regular. We got him a cake and dressed as superheroes and gave him a big party!"
Look for McQueen's exit to take place on The Vampire Diaries Season 6 Episode 14.
Will you miss Jeremy? Will he get his reunion with Bonnie before departing Mystic Falls? And who will take over as the wifebeater-wearing stud in town now?!?
The Vampire Diaries Season 6 Episode 11 airs on Thursday, January 22 at 8/7c on The CW.
