Days of Our Lives Round Table: Is There a Future for Chad & Abby?

at .

Will whined to Sonny, Jennifer went overboard…again and Aiden found out important news about Hope off screen. All in all Days of Our Lives was a bit of a let down this week but that just gave our round table team more to rant about.

Our TV Fanatics Nick McHatton and Christine Orlando are joined by Simon05 and Stickywicket from MyHourglass a Days of Our Lives fan forum to debate Chad and Abby’s future, whether Will deserves a second chance and what was their biggest disappointment this week in Salem.

Can you see a future for Chad and Abby?

Nick: With how boring Abby is with Ben, I'm rooting for a Chad and Abby hookup.

Simon05: Yes, I always liked Chad & Abby together. However now that he has spent so much time with Stefano not sure if that is a good idea. I do think they will be a lot more fun to watch than Abby and Ben.

Stickywicket:  I think I could. The chemistry between the two on Friday, seemed very obvious. We know Chad still has feelings for her, as he admitted and I am willingly to bet Abby has some unresolved feelings for Chad also.

Christine:  Wait, are Ben and Abby still together. I’m not sure because I fall asleep during their scenes. Chad was right when he said Abby has a thing for the bad boys. The two of them hooking up is only a matter of time. I’m sure it will be incredibly dysfunctional but a lot more entertaining than Abby and Ben.

Do you think Sonny should give Will a second chance?

Nick: Not really, the couple has lost most of the magic they once had, and Will's career driven attitude has made him a bland and uninteresting person. I'm for Sonny kicking Will to the curb to explore greener pastures (Paul).

Simon05:  No, Sonny can do so much better than Will. I think Will pimped himself out for a story and really thinks this is Sonny's fault. He lays blame for it on everyone but himself. I think if he manned up and said it was all on him then Sonny should give him a second chance but I don't think Will feels that way.

Stickywicket:  Hmm, I am conflicted on this one. Sonny has been true blue to Will, even in the face of temptation. I say yes, Will does deserve a second chance, because everyone deserves a chance to change. I do think that Will needs to step up his game and work harder to keep Sonny.

Christine:  Will cheated on Sonny and yet still plays the whiny victim every chance he gets. I’m really hoping Sonny kicks him to the curb yet still maintains some sort of connection to Ari because Sonny losing his place in Ari’s life is only sad thing about getting rid of Will.

Were you surprised that Aiden already knew about Zack?

Nick: It was a blink and you miss it kind of reference. It shows that Aiden and Hope's lives exist outside of what we seen on the show, and she's opened up to him about her past.

Simon05:  No unfortunately I wasn't surprised. It seems all the good conversations happen off screen. Also at Christmas I'm assuming Hope or Ciara hung Zach's ornament so Aiden would have asked, who is this person?

Stickywicket:  Yes, and no. It does in a way seem logical that this was talked about “off” canvas, but could have also been shared “on” canvas, providing more on screen chemistry between Aiden and Hope.

Christine:  I was so mad they didn’t have that scene. These two actors would have done amazing things with that type of amazing material. Having it occur off screen was a complete waste of their talents.

Was Jennifer going overboard in her obsession to figure out what’s going on with JJ?

Nick: Jennifer going overboard? I'm absolutely shocked.

Simon05:  No not really. I think she is truly worried about him because of his history of being self destructive. Although I wish she would talk to someone like Brady who could help JJ as he would recognize the behavior better than the Almighty Dr. Dan.

Stickywicket:  As a parent myself, my first instincts are to protect and help my child. I know there are going to be times when you need to let the child figure out his mistakes and own up to them like Daniel said. It is not an easy task.

Christine:  I kept watching Jennifer and saying, please stop! Who stalks their grown son’s supposed girlfriend? I know JJ is in pain but Jennifer needs a life.

Is Paige becoming like her mother?

Nick: I hope so, Paige makes the paint colors in the whatever room she's standing outshine her.

Simon05:  I don't know who Paige is like. I cant figure out why the character is still around other than to witness the train wreck of Eve & JJ. When this story line comes to an end they just need to send Paige out of town for college. The character contributes nothing to the show.

Stickywicket:  I say absolutely not! If anything she is very similar in A LOT of ways to her grandmother Kimberly, even though Eve is not Kimberly’s biological daughter. The goodness, honesty, and bravery are all qualities I see between Kimberly and Paige. I also like the fact that Paige and Kimberly had a heart to heart talk when they were in California. Page wants that relationship like her grandparents have.

Christine:  I could only hope! Paige is so dull. At least if she jumped on the Eve crazy train she might become interesting. I don’t even care how she reacts when she finds out her mom slept with her boyfriend. The reaction I’m looking forward to is Jennifer’s.

Was there anything that disappointed you this week in Salem?

Nick:  One thing really stood out to me: the picture of Brady and Melanie. I don't know why this is the most upsetting thing out of everything this week, but it just stayed with me the entire week. I suppose it's because of what is symbolizes: saddling Brady with Melanie. They've been a couple for fifteen minutes, but already Brady has been cursed with the Jonas family trait: complete boredom. Get Brady back with Kristen or have him and Nicole hook up.

Simon05:  I'm disappointed that they couldn't find someone better for Eric. But I'm disappointed with that every week. Serena and her Elephant just need to go.

Stickywicket:  I think when Melanie decided she was not going to pursue finding out about Dr. Mandrake, because even though she is not a fan of Theresa, it is the right thing to do.

Christine:  Biggest disappointment was realizing that Aiden already knew about Zack but I’ve already ranted about that (see above.) That Serena and that stupid elephant are still on my screen makes me want to cry.

What was your favorite scene or story line on this week’s Days of Our Lives?

Nick: Sonny not putting up with any of Will's terrible excuses for cheating.

Simon05:   I loved Sonny blasting Will and that he didn't just roll over and except Will's lame excuses for cheating.

Stickywicket:  My favorite scene was seeing the softer side of Theresa, the side that shows she has a heart and is Kimberly’s daughter. I am hoping that perhaps this is a start to turning herself around and bringing out some of her mother Kimberly’s qualities. I also like the fact that when Kimberly is on canvas, and in scenes with Theresa, Kimberly does an amazing job at showing us the goodness that exists within Theresa.

Christine:  The only decent story of the week was Will trying to turn things around on Sonny and Sonny having none of it. I’m hoping that Sonny stays strong and doesn’t cave.
