Days of Our Lives Round Table: Choose the Smartest Person in Salem

at .  Updated at .

Sonny and Will officially celebrated the worst anniversary in Salem as the truth about Will’s cheating came out for all to hear. Meanwhile, Lucas and Adrienne hit the sheets (lucky it wasn’t the Kiriakis sofa!) and Marlena waffled about whether to tell John he might have another son.

Our TV Fanatics Nick McHatton and Christine Orlando are joined by Melly and Tinab from MyHourglass a Days of Our Lives Fan Forum to debate Marlena’s next move, whether Adrienne and Lucas made a mistake and who is the smartest character in Salem.

Should Marlena tell John her suspicions about him being Paul’s father?

Nick: I really hope so, but with the way John and Marlena are portrayed it's not likely she'll say anything.

Melly: YES YES YES. For the love of all things good and holy....if she wants them to stay together permanently, Marlena needs to tell John what she suspects. If John finds out that she kept something this big from him, it could get very ugly!

Tinab: Of course Marlena should tell John .... If you suspect your husband has a child, that is too big to keep from him.

Christine:  If she doesn’t tell John, then I hope someone in Salem calls her out on her Saint Marlena self righteous crap because hiding the possibility that John has a child from him is just plain wrong!

Do you think Will honestly cares more about his career than his marriage or Arianna?

Nick: I think Will likes to think his family and partner come first, but his actions say otherwise. So far he's done everything he can to get a story that will advance his career and somehow fix his failing relationship. His priority is pretty clear: it's his career.

Melly: Will cares about Will. Period. Both Sonny and Ariana deserve better than Will and his self-centered worldview. I thought marriage and fatherhood would mature him...boy was I wrong!

Tinab: I don't think will cares more about his career, I just think he is reacting the only way he knows how. He didn't have the most "normal" parents.

Christine: Even Marlena basically called Will out on being a self serving little weasel this week. Will’s first concern is Will. Everything else comes in second.

Adrienne and Lucas make love. What are your thoughts on this relationship?

Nick: I'm pleased they're both getting airtime, but I just wish it wasn't anything like this.

Melly: Adrienne belongs with Justin. Much as I enjoy seeing Bryan Datillo on screen, I just don't "get" Lucas and Adrienne. The sooner Adrienne and Lucas figure out that they shouldn't be together, the better.

Tinab: I think any woman who is ignored by her husband ends up relishing in the attention from another man. Who could blame her for responding when being made to feel like a woman again?

Christine:  Ugh. They moved way too fast. Adrienne needed to deal with her marital mess before jumping into bed with someone else.

Who is the smartest character in Salem?

Nick: Daniel Freaking Jonas would like to think he is, but I see glimmers of smarts from a myriad of characters: Nicole, when she's not being broken by another man, is sharp; Aiden and Hope can have their moments; and Victor or Stefano are constantly playing sides.

Melly: Right now, I think Hope is pretty insightful....she's definitely keeping an eye on Chad, and heaven knows, he needs watching.

Tinab: Smartest character in Salem? Hmm... probably Victor. He is playing the big picture.

Christine:  Ciara! Nothing gets by that little girl. Hope is right. She’s going to have her hands full when Ciara becomes a teenager.

Was there anything that disappointed you this week in Salem?

Nick: Nicole continually forgiving Daniel. Ugh.

Melly:  I wish Lucas had taken a firmer stand with Will. Yes, Will's an adult...but Lucas should have been a little more forceful about behaving morally.

Tinab: Will was disappointing but so was Sonny responding to Paul's advances. Two wrongs don't make a right.

Christine: That John thought so poorly of Paul. I really hope that Marlena explains that Paul had no idea that Will was married, never mind to Sonny, but I’m not optimistic.

What was your favorite Days of Our Lives quote or scene from the week?

Nick: Victor's toast at Will and Sonny's wedding anniversary.

It was one of the finest weddings that Salem has ever had. No one was shot. No one was arrested. No one found out they were pregnant but more importantly for all of those doubters, the world did not fall apart because these two fine men pledged to love each other forever.

Victor

Melly: It's a tie! The blowup at the anniversary party was a great scene, but so was the one where Chase had to pony up after betting Ciara. I am really enjoying the Aiden/Hope relationship!

Tinab: Nicole - "Trying to be nice gets you nowhere in this town"

Christine:  I was thrilled that we finally got to see more of Aiden and Hope this week. Also, Maggie telling Victor that she’s known what he’s been up to all along and has had his back was awesome. I really love these two couples.
