True Detective Season 2 Episode 4 Preview

By looking at the preview for True Detective Season 2 Episode 4, we know Ani and Ray are retracing the steps of a victim because that might be where the bodies are buried. That seems like strange logic, but OK.

They're going to shake things up a bit, too, by putting Paul and Ray together for a while. It seems kind of funny seeing Paul seek advice from Ray, but maybe they'll end up being perfect for each other's ailing hearts. As Ray points out when Paul says he just doesn't know how to be out in the world, "Just look out that window, nobody does."

Ray also finally gets a chance to see his son, Chad, and deliver to him his own father's police badge that he plucked out of the trash for posterity. It's hard not to prophesize doom for the father/son duo when Ray tells Chad where he comes from will mean something to him one day.
