Haven Canceled at Syfy After Five Seasons

It's time for the Troubles to finally be over, as Haven has been canceled by Syfy after five seasons.

After the remainder of Haven Season 5, which begins in October, the series will come to an end, but the writers were given a chance to close the chapter, according to showrunner Gabrielle Stanton.

Duke Assits Audrey

Stanton said the productive team decided to go into 5B creatively as if the remainder of the season could be an end so the fans wouldn't be annoyed in any way if things didn't turn out well. She told TheWrap, "So we really looked at these 13 episodes as if… If we were indeed going to end, what would be the best ending we could possibly do for Haven?"

Syfy has a nice, full slate of programming at the moment with Killjoys, Dark Matter and Bitten and more exciting stuff on the way, such as The Expanse, Childhood's End and The Magicians.

While there won't be a lack of great things to watch, it still never feels great when you lose what you love. Will you be feeling the pain of losing the Troubles when Haven goes off the air? Hoping for a happy ending for Audrey and Nathan?

Haven returns to Syfy Oct. 8 at 10/9c.
