Clyde creeped out multiple residents in Salem while Aiden got desperate, Abigail found out Ben was tracking her and Gabi was released from prison on last week’s Days of Our Lives.

Our TV Fanatics Jack Ori and Christine Orlando are joined by UhSir from MyHourglass a Days of Our Lives fan forum to debate Gabi’s return, Aiden’s gambling issues, and their favorite moments this week in Salem. 

Are you happy that Gabi’s back and what do you hope to see in her near future?

Jack: I am! Its great to see her family scenes with Rafe. She's tried to talk sense into Will. Now she needs to convince her bro to move on from already taken Hope and maybe provide an ex cons insight into the murder investigation.

UhSir: I’m very happy Gabi is back. I'd like to see her get a modeling job at Basic Black and develop a friendship with Theresa.

Christine: It’s funny because I was never Gabi’s biggest fan but for some reason I’m happy she’s back. Ari’s needs her mom. Rafe needs his sister. I’d also like to see her interact with Abby, Will, and maybe she can get involved with Basic Black which will put her in Kate, Nicole, and Theresa’s orbit. 

Do Aiden’s gambling issues make sense?

Jack: No. There was no set up for it. This should have been a long arc, not an afterthought.

UhSir: No, it doesn't make sense. There hasn't been any hint in all these years that Aiden has a gambling problem. I was hoping he was being blackmailed and I didn't even care if we didn't know why. In fact, wondering why would have made it more interesting.

Christine: I think it does…sort of. Aiden always said he and his wife fought over money, that she had it and resented that he didn’t. Perhaps we’re finding out the other side of that story. Maybe he and his wife’s money issues were because Aiden gambled it all away. 

Clyde visited JJ, Jennifer, and Marlena. Which conversation was the creepiest?

Jack: I was creeped out by all three. I didn't like the veiled threats in his conversation with Jen and I was afraid he was going to throw JJ off the pier.

UhSir: Marlena. His smile, the crazy look in his eyes, moving way too close to her for comfort, then sauntering out the door.

Christine: Oh, Clyde was super creepy this week but I think his visit with Marlena makes the top of the list. The way he was waiting for her on the other side of the door and that look he gave her gave me shivers. 

There weren’t many reactions shown to Paige’s murder. Which character’s reaction were you hoping to see the most that hasn't been aired?

Jack: This may sound out of left field but besides JJ's off screen grief I was most hoping for Kayla’s reaction. She was very close with Paige when Paige worked at the hospital and her grief should inform her relationships with Steve and Joey.

UhSir: Theresa. I'm sure she would have gone to Eve immediately. It would have been nice to see them, even briefly, grieving together and comforting each other.

Christine: Theresa. This was her niece and Theresa should at least attempt to be there for her sister. I can’t believe we didn’t get that scene this week. 

Abby finally found out about the app Ben put on her phone. What did you think of her reaction?

Jack: I wish Abby was less naive and had just dumped Ben. Stalking is a deal breaker, in my opinion.

UhSir: Her reaction of lying to him while begging him to trust her? A typical response from someone who doesn't realize she's being manipulated. Ben has control over her now. Any wrong he does is her fault. Their relationship is seriously unhealthy and it's probably going to get a lot worse.

Christine: I couldn’t believe how easily he manipulated the situation to make it seem as though he was trying to protect her. Of course Abigail lies pretty easily too. Their relationship is really icky. I can’t imagine how it’s going to finally spiral out of control when the truth comes out.

What, if anything disappointed you this week in Salem?

Jack: That Roman with all his police skills and experience was snowed by Clyde and didn't pick up on JJ's fear. Also that JJ's story is this nonsense and not dealing with his grief.

UhSir: Jennifer not telling the police about Clyde. But worse than that, Jennifer not telling Abigail and seeming not to care that Abigail is living with and planning to marry Clyde's son.

Christine: I expected more reactions to Paige’s death. Instead we got a lot about Chad being a murder suspect and Clyde sneaking around. As much as I enjoy both of those actors, Paige was a young girl and her death should have had more impact. 

What was your favorite quote, scene or story of the week?

Jack: I loved Hope and Aiden's reenactment of their proposal and how happy the kids were. Despite the way they're writing Aiden I'm still a big Hope/Aiden fan.

UhSir: All of Clyde's scenes, but especially his visit with Marlena. 

Christine:  I enjoyed Abigail going out of her way to help Chad but then she ran right back and ends up in bed with Ben which is just icky.
