Hayley Atwell Nabs Lead in ABC Legal Drama Pilot

Good news, Hayley Atwell fans: the actress has landed the lead role in an upcoming ABC pilot.
Bad news, Hayley Atwell fans: this may mean the end of Marvel's Agent Carter.
According to Variety, Atwell will star in the drama Conviction, portraying the rebellious daughter of a dynastic political family who is forced to take a job as the head of Los Angeles’ newly-created Conviction Integrity Unit.
Along with her team of attorneys, investigators and forensic experts, Atwell's character will have two weeks to investigate cases where there’s a reason to believe that the wrong person may have been convicted of a crime.
If ABC does, indeed, pick up Marvel's Agent Carter for a third season, sources say the network could arrange Atwell's schedule so that she could film both shows.
