It was an eventful week in Salem as Steve and Kayla exchanged vows, Julie received devastating news, and Nicole and Chloe faced off at a custody hearing.
MyHourglass: A Days Of Our Lives Fan Forum members andredimera and fluffysmom join TV Fanatic Jack Ori to debate how good the wedding was, who they think will get custody and more...
1. Rate Steve and Kayla's wedding from 1 (most boring wedding ever) to 10 (most romantic wedding DAYS has had yet).
Andredimera: About a 5. It was a good wedding, but there wasn't enough focus on the actual wedding couple!
Fluffysmom: I'm giving the wedding an 8. I thought it was heartfelt and romantic. It was really nice having Stephanie, Carrie, and Austin come to Salem for the wedding. I'm glad that Steve and Kayla had their family and good friends sharing their special day.
Jack: As Andredimera said, there wasn't enough focus on Steve and Kayla. What little time was actually devoted to their wedding was nice, so I'll give it a 3.
2. Do you think killing off David is a good storyline for Doug and Julie, or was this death unnecessary?
Andredimera: Very unnecessary! Surely there could have been a better way to handle Davidand Julie's relationship.
Fluffysmom: I think David's death is going to lead to an interesting new storyline judging by Valerie starting to tell Marlena her secret.
Jack: I was really upset by this. While I think Susan Seaforth Hayes gave a great performance, as always, there was so much more potential in an alive David coming to Salem and running into his former flame Valerie and trying to re-establish some sort of relationship with Julie than in him being randomly killed off-screen. Plus there's been so much death, especially of legacy characters, that I can't fathom what the writers were thinking.
3. Which was more annoying -- Claire and Ciara's competition over Theo at the wedding or Stephanie and Joey's pre-wedding talk about how Joey's existence is proof that their parents were having sex?
Andredimera: Claire and Ciara. Which is sad, because I want to like them.
Fluffysmom: Claire and Ciara always annoy me. They need to stop the insanity. I didn't mind Stephanie and Joey's talk.
Jack: It's a hard one. They were both obnoxious. But I'm also going to go with Claire and Ciara because they were really ridiculous, while Joey and Stephanie were just stupid and boring.
4. Do you want to see more of Drew, or have you had enough?
Andredimera: Definitely more! Drew is a very welcome return to the canvas. I love that guy. I'd like to see him interact with his dear twin.
Fluffysmom: I'm tired of Drew sitting at the computer. Please give him something else to do or give him less screen time.
Jack: I find Drew to be great comic relief. But I agree with fluffysmom -- I need to see him get out of that hotel room and branch out a bit.
5. Who do you think the judge will side with in the custody battle and do you think that decision will be the correct one?
Andredimera: Sadly, I think she'll side with Chloe. And that is totally the wrong decision!
Fluffysmom: I feel like the judge is most likely going to side with Chloe because Deimos tried to bribe the previous judge. I think the judge may feel Holly isn't safe with Deimos. I think Holly should be with Nicole.
Jack: I didn't like how the judge seemed to favor Chloe during the proceedings, and Deimos' attempt to buy off the last judge didn't help anything. So I definitely think she'll side with Chloe even though that's totally wrong and Chloe wouldn't even have a case if this was real life.
6. What, if anything, disappointed you this week in Salem?
Andredimera: A number of things, but mostly the lack of focus on Steve and Kayla at their own wedding. It seemed more like a welcome home party for Hope than a wedding for one of the most beloved couples on DAYS.
Fluffysmom: I continue to be disappointed by Nicole and Chloe's friendship being trashed by the custody battle.
Jack: Steve and Kayla's wedding being about everything but them, David's unnecessary death, and Hope and Rafe having a "romantic" dance seconds after learning that Hope's nephew was dead.
7. What was your favorite quote, scene, or storyline from this week's show?
Andredimera: Any time Andre is on is great, so I really enjoyed the stuff with Andre and Anna. I also enjoyed all the scenes with Drew.
Fluffysmom: My favorite storyline this week was Steve and Kayla's wedding.
Jack: Drew was wonderful comic relief, and I also enjoyed the Andre/Anna scenes. I also liked Doug and Julie's touching scenes at the wedding reception prior to learning about David's death and Steve and Kayla's wedding vows.
