The premiere of Game of Thrones Season 7 is not that far away now.

After waiting almost one year for the highly anticipated return of the fantasy drama, it sucks to know that the season will span just seven episodes.

Fans have been holding onto hope that the episodes would have a longer runtime this season to make up for it, and thanks to HBO, we now know exactly how long the episodes will span.

Have a look below at the official runtimes.

  • Episode 1: 59 minutes
  • Episode 2: 59 minutes
  • Episode 3: 63 minutes
  • Episode 4: 50 minutes
  • Episode 5: 59 minutes
  • Episode 6: 71 minutes
  • Episode 7: 81 minutes

The most glaring thing is that Episode 4 spans just 50 minutes. That will be the shortest installment in the history of the series.

However, three episodes span 59 minutes, thus, making them one of the top 5 longest running episodes.

Episode 3 will actually run 63 minutes, which is pretty great. Who does not want to spend extra time in this vivid fantasy world?

Episode 6 will clock in at 71 minutes, while Episode 7 will be 81 minutes. Yes, those two represent a whole lot of Game of Thrones.

For comparison purposes, Game of Thrones Season 6 Episode 10 spanned 68 minutes, so it definitely seems like HBO, and the producers are treating the fans with longer episodes.

Some fans were not impressed with the 50-minute episode, but runtime of the final two episodes alone more than makes up for it.

The official trailer was released a few weeks back, and it gave us our best look yet at the new batch of episodes. Yes, the dragons are now huge, and the fight for the Iron Throne is winding down.

Who will fall before the finish line?

Tis a big and beautiful world. Most of us live and die in the same corner where we were born and never get to see any of it. I don't want to be most of us.
