Grey Sloan Memorial must be bursting at the seams based on the casting news of late.
According to E! News, the latest addition to the resilient medical drama is Greg Germann, and he will portray the character of Tom Koracick.
He will appear in an episode titled, "Go Big or Go Home." Aside from that, the rest of the details about the new character are being kept under wraps.
This is not entirely surprising. Shondaland shows have notoriously been shrouded in secrecy, as its shows go for the jugular regarding bat$hit crazy plot developments.
That's what keeps viewers enthralled week after week, and with Grey's Anatomy entering Season 14, it's clearly a tactic that works.
Germann has appeared in several hit series during his time on the small screen. His most notable, of course, is as Richard Fish on the hit Fox drama, Ally McBeal.
He was a series regular on all five season of the Fox show from 1997-2002. More recently, he appeared on Netflix's hilarious comedy series, Friends From College.
That show recently snagged a renewal from the streaming giant despite tepid reviews, and there is no indication whether Germann will return as John Delmonico.
Grey's Anatomy is said to be going back to its roots regarding storytelling, with a bigger focus on some of the show's most beloved characters.
It's certainly exciting when you consider the fact that some of the best characters disappeared during Grey's Anatomy Season 13 for a handful of episodes at a time.
It has already been confirmed that Kim Raver and Matthew Morrison will be setting foot back in the halls of Grey Sloan during the new episodes.
Meanwhile, Abigail Spencer has assumed the role of Owen's sister, Megan Hunt after Bridget Reagan could not return due to her commitment to TNT's The Last Ship.
In another recent casting shocker, it was announced that Jason George would be defecting from Grey's to the new spinoff centered around Seattle firefighters.
