Days of Our Lives Round Table: Sami Says Goodbye

at .

Sami headed out of Salem, but not before Ciara heard about her secret tryst with Rafe. Sonny convinced Will to move into the Kiriakis mansion, and Gabi had to choose between Kate and Eve this week in Salem.

Our TV Fanatics Jack Ori and Christine Orlando are joined by Fluffysmom from MyHourglass a Days of Our Lives fan forum to debate whether Rafe should come clean, Will moving in, and Ciara’s behavior on this week’s Days of Our Lives.

Is Sami right? If Rafe came clean with Hope would he just be assuaging his own guilt, or should he be honest with her?

Jack: Rafe should definitely come clean. Otherwise it's going to come out in some awful, relationship ending way. Even if Hope breaks up with Rafe, at least he would have some self respect if he told the truth.

Flufflysmom: Rafe and Hope were broken up when he slept with Sami. He clearly thought it was over with Hope so technically he doesn't have to tell her. However he should know that secrets always come out in Salem.

Christine: Under normal circumstances, I’d say Sami has a point. The truth would clear Rafe’s conscience but hurt Hope immensely in the process. But this is Salem, and there’s no doubt the truth will eventually come out.

There are no secrets in Salem, so Rafe would be smart to get ahead of this. Of course that wouldn’t be near as much fun to watch as the train wreck we know is looming.

Is Hope being too overprotective of Ciara?

Jack: Yes. Ciara is an adult, not a sixteen-year-old, even if her behavior isn't mature. Hope needs to let her make her own mistakes and suffer her own consequences for them.

Flufflysmom: I don't think so. Ciara has been through a lot. She has a lot of issues and needs her Mom. Hope not wanting Ciara to ride a motorcycle without a license isn't unreasonable.

Christine: Hope is definitely being overprotective and I understand why. She lost Zach. She lost Bo, but Ciara isn’t a teenager.

Instead of forbidding her from riding the bike she could have come up with a compromise, like having Ciara take a motorcycle safety course and getting her license. Then at least she’d be doing something to keep her daughter safe.

Treating Ciara like a rebellious teen just reenforces her behaving like one.

Ciara Returns to Salem - Days of Our Lives

Both Kate or Eve are interested in Gabi’s business. Whom should she choose?

Jack: I vote for Gabi running her own business and avoiding both of these women. Eve is slightly better than Kate, but not by much.

Flufflysmom: I think Gabi should choose to work with Eve. They have a family connection through Paige. You never know what kind of agenda Kate has in mind. Taking a chance with Eve could be the better option.

Christine: I’d prefer Gabi to remain independent but if she has to make a deal with one of them, I choose Eve. I’d hate to see Gabi dragged back into Chad and Gabi’s orbit and I’m afraid that’s exactly what will happen if she chooses Kate.

Eve Makes a Surprising Offer - Days of Our Lives

Sami’s leaving Salem. Rate her return from 1 (hated it) to 10 (loved it).

Jack: 6. I liked her scenes with Lucas but the serial arrests and the crazy Will scheme ruined her return for me.

Flufflysmom: I'll give it a 7. I really enjoyed seeing her share meaningful scenes with so many Salemites. I especially enjoyed her scenes with Lucas and her emotional goodbyes.

I would have rated her return a little higher but I feel like some stories had to be rushed due to the length of her return.

Christine: I give it an 8. Admittedly, the stuff in Memphis was pretty lame, but her interactions with Lucas have been a highlight of the show.

Also, I’ve enjoyed her newest scenes connecting with Will, all of her interactions with Eric, and her goodbye scenes with her family have been very touching.

Giving Sami a Chance - Days of Our Lives

Will agreed to move into the Kiriakis mansion. Good idea or disaster in the making?

Jack: I think this is a bad idea. Sonny wants Will, who doesn't remember him, Victor hates Will, Brady is already gloating that Will kissed Paul... What could possibly go wrong?

Flufflysmom: I think it was a terrible decision. In one conversation Will went from wanting to live the single life to agreeing to move into the mansion. Sonny is pushing too hard. They should have agreed to start dating and left it at that.

Christine: Oh, this is going to be a disaster. Sonny wants his marriage back, and won’t even acknowledge how troubled it was before Will "died."

Will has stronger feelings for Paul than for Sonny and seems more interested in sex than a relationship right now. Victor hates Will, and Brady can’t wait to cause trouble for Sonny.

Brady: Sounds like someone's avoiding you.
Sonny: Will just has a lot to deal with right now.
Brady: Or maybe he's just not that into you.

Would dating one another really have been such a terrible idea?

Moving In - Days of Our Lives

What, if anything, disappointed you this week in Salem?

Jack: I feel Jennifer is not doing enough to help JJ. She is just walking around worrying but not even trying to see him.

Also, Rafe is becoming more idiotic by the minute. He really couldn't tell Ciara was interrogating him? Is this the same guy who used to be in the FBI?

And don't get me started on Abe"s insufferability.

Flufflysmom: Sonny treating Paul horribly at the mansion. Sonny is a total jerk. Paul is too good for him.

Christine: Abe being a narrow minded bully. Eli throwing JJ under the bus to get on Abe’s good side.

Hope continually cooing over how much she loves Rafe. And Kayla giving away her and Steve's upper hand by confronting Kate.

Eric Attempts To Help JJ - Days of Our Lives

What was your favorite quote, scene or storyline on this week’s Days of Our Lives?

Jack: I loved Eric and JJ's scenes. I also cheered aloud when Kate fell into Steve's trap.

Flufflysmom: I really liked Lucas's scenes in rehab with Sami and other family members. I liked the touching scenes as Sami said goodbye to John, Marlena, and Will.

Christine: Many of Sami’s goodbye scenes had me in tears, in a good way. And I was thrilled to see Paul stick up for himself while Sonny acted like a jerk.

And I loved this Days of Our Lives quote from Sami when Rafe said that Ciara was "acting out."

Acting out? What does that even mean? I mean, honestly, it's only something people ever say to girls. My uncle Bo was a rebel and people didn't say that he was acting out.
