Trace Lysette, who was Tambor's co-star on the series came forward on November 16.  The actress alleged that Jeffrey made a comment about a sexual attack and that he even went as far as pressing his groin against her.

Tambor's former assistant, Van Barnes accused him of making less than savory comments and groping her. The third person to come forward was make-up artist, Tamara Delbridge. She alleged that Tambor forcibly kissed her during the production of the movie, Never Again.

As the allegations swirled about Tambor, he released a statement in November that seemingly confirmed his exit from the series.

“Playing Maura Pfefferman on Transparent has been one of the greatest privileges and creative experiences of my life,” Tambor said.

He added: “What has become clear over the past weeks, however, is that this is no longer the job I signed up for four years ago."

"I’ve already made clear my deep regret if any action of mine was ever misinterpreted by anyone as being aggressive, but the idea that I would deliberately harass anyone is simply and utterly untrue."
