When Trial & Error returns for Season 2 on NBC, there will be some significant changes in store.
Kristin Chenoweth has been cast as the new accused killer for the new batch of episodes.
She will replace John Lithgow, who played the killer, Larry Henderson on Trial & Error Season 1.
Chenoweth will take on the role of Lavinia Peck-Foster, who is on trial for the murder of her husband after his body is found inside the back of her car.
The wealthy character finds herself trying to find a way to prove her innocence. In order to accomplish her goal, she contacts the law firm from Season 1.
Will she be able to fight her case, or will all of the evidence continue to stack up against her?
Chenoweth is a seasoned TV veteran and has had roles in ABC's low-rated, but critically adored, Pushing Daisies. She even won an Emmy Award for her role as Olive Snook in the series back in 2009.
She has also appeared in Glee, GCB and more recently, American Gods.
Trial & Error Season 1 launched to positive reviews last March. It concluded in April, but there is still no premiere date for Season.
Nicholas D'Agosto, Jayma Mays, Steven Boyer, Krysta Rodriguez and Sherri Shepherd are expected to return for Season 2.
