Well, that was fast.

It's been just a few months since Monica Raymund announced she was out of Chicago Fire, and the popular actress has booked her new role.

She is attached to headline the new Starz drama, P-Town, reports Deadline.

Monica Raymund Promotes Chicago Fire

It follows the life of Jackie Quinones (Raymund), "a lesbian National Marine Fisheries Services officer, happy to use her gun and badge to pick up tourist chicks in “P-Town” — the gay mecca of Provincetown, MA."

However, things take a turn for her after she finds a dead body which is "collateral damage of the opioid epidemic."

Jackie then gets to work to solve the murder, but she also needs to face "her own addictive behaviors."

It certainly sounds like a dark drama, with Raymund front and center, we're sure it's going to be a great show.

Chicago Fire fans everywhere were blindsided by the news that Raymund was out of the NBC hit after six seasons as Gabriela Dawson.

"It has been an honor to play Dawson on Chicago Fire, and one of the most meaningful experiences of my life," Raymund said via Twitter in May.

"I am so thankful for the journey and especially to all of you for watching, but I have made the decision that's time for me to move on to the next chapter in life," the statement continued.

"I'll always be proud to have played a fierce paramedic with such an incredible cast and crew."

"On to the next. See you on the ice." "Love, Monica," the actress said to close her message off.

The actress chatted with the Chicago Tribune earlier this week and dished more details on her exit.

I mean, I’ve given six years of my life to that show and created a family there, so it was a bit like a dismemberment, if you will," she said.

"I miss them terribly, of course. But I have the opportunity to start the next chapter of my life and I’m very much looking forward to that.”
