Supergirl: Lex Luthor Arriving In National City Very Soon!

at .

Supergirl is preparing for life post-Elseworlds.

Warner Bros. Television confirmed in a statement today that Lex Luthor is headed to the hit CW drama, but don't expect him to appear in the crossover.

Instead, Lex will show up in National City sometime after December's crossover, and we can only imagine the mischief he'll get up to.

“We’re beyond excited to introduce iconic villain, Lex Luthor, to Supergirl and to weave him into our story this season,” Executive Producers Robert Rovner and Jessica Queller said.

“We’ve talked about having Lex on the show since it’s inception and we’re excited to have him finally arrive. We can’t wait for him to shake things up in National City and watch him go toe to toe with not only Supergirl, but his sister Lena Luthor.”

If you watch Supergirl online, you know that Lena has flirted with darkness throughout her time on the TV series, but is there a chance she could be swayed over to the side of bad with a little nudge from her brother?

We sure hope not, but from a storytelling standpoint, it could be rather fun!

No casting details have been revealed as of yet, but would it be too much to ask for Michael Rosenbaum to take on the role?

Yes, he excelled at it on Smallville, so it's probably just a pipe dream. In any case, we'll stay tuned for updates!

Supergirl is going all in with the comic-book characters on Supergirl Season 4. Tyler Hoechlin is returning as the titular hero's cousin, Superman.

Grimm's Elizabeth Tulloch has also been cast as the love of Clark Kent's life, Lois Lane, so we think it's fair to say there's a lot to look forward to in the land of Supergirl.

What's more, the series moved to lower-viewed Sunday nights, and Supergirl Season 4 Episode 1 managed to hold up with last season's premiere, average, and finale in the ratings.

Supergirl Quotes

Braniac-5: Well the good news is, her mind is active and alert.
Alex: Oh, thank God.
Braniac-5: The bad news is, she is very angry.
Winn: Well, I'm sure she loves being trapped inside a mind prison.

You had me fooled, Danvers. I thought you were a soldier. But then I find this out. All the lies you must have told. You have undermined everything that we stand for, all to protect your own sister. Supergirl.
