CBS is not staying mom about the future of one of its most beloved comedies.

Yes, we're talking about Mom here!

The series has secured a two-season renewal that will keep the show on the air through 2021.

It stars Alison Janney and Anna Faris as a mother and daughter trying to better their lives after struggles with various addictions.

It has won much praise throughout its run for tackling issues that are not regularly seen on the small screen.

It is currently airing its sixth season and remains a force in the ratings for the network.

Season to date, it is averaging 8.1 million total viewers and a 1.3 rating in the demo, ranking as the network's third highest rated comedy and fourth highest-rated scripted series overall.

With The Big Bang Theory coming to an end this season, it makes sense to lock Mom down with a double renewal.

“We’re exceptionally proud to have Mom on our air; a high-quality, signature comedy with characters viewers love, that also brings strength and stability to our lineup,” Kelly Kahl, President of CBS Entertainment, said in a statement.

“Under Chuck Lorre’s extraordinary leadership and with his outstanding writing and production team, we look forward to having Mom on CBS for many years to come.”

Adds Thom Sherman, Sr. Executive Vice President, Programming, CBS Entertainment, “We’re fortunate to have the gifted talents of Anna and Allison, with their wit, intelligence and incomparable comic skill, heading up such a brilliant cast on this noteworthy series.”
