The Blacklist Season 7 Episode 2 Review: Louis T. Steinhil: Conclusion

at .  Updated at .

Katarina isn't playing around.

And as Red explained to Elizabeth on The Blacklist Season 7 Episode 2, all this mess is because she decided to go snooping.

Had she not, then no one would be in danger.

On the Hunt - The Blacklist Season 7 Episode 2

But Liz is Liz is Liz, and she had to do what she had to do.

What's bothersome is that she keeps saying how she cares about Red for who he is. We get it already. Stop saying it. Please.

Whether or not Red is Ilya is still up in the air. It's good that Harold is agreeing to keep it under his hat for now because who knows if Dom was telling stories or not.

The whole charade of who Red is and isn't is getting tiresome. Just tell us who he is already, and get on with it.

Keeping Secrets - The Blacklist Season 7 Episode 2

Katarina is a mixed bag. Red seems to be completely loyal to her, yet she doesn't believe him at all.

He also doesn't want to put Elizabeth in the middle of the mess because he wants to protect her.

Katarina is dangerous, and she's going to get what she wants.

The fact that she's moved in next to Elizabeth is concerning. She's going to keep her eye on Liz, and when she needs to strike she will.

Liz Loves Red - The Blacklist Season 7 Episode 2

It doesn't matter that Liz is her daughter. Katarina is only out for herself.

A perfect example of this is her trying to take out her own father.

It's unclear how she thinks Dom betrayed her, but it's what she thinks.

She's going to strike people down one by one. And since she didn't have the chance to take Red and his team out, she's going to find a new target in both Elizabeth and Harold.

Why she has such an interest in Harold and how he fits into the grand scheme of things is still unclear.

Red has a lot to juggle with trying to protect himself, Elizabeth, and now Harold, but he's fully up to the task.

Trustworthy or Not - The Blacklist Season 7 Episode 2

Francesca is interesting. She appears to be on Red's side, but there may be more to it than that.

It's hard to believe she is playing both sides in this game, but the possibility is real.

She saved Red's life, so we have to give her that, but still.

What's her history? How did she get invovled with Katarina? What's her end game?

Those are all questions that are going to have to be answered in the short term.

Red needs to keep an eye on her. If it turns out Katarina knows Red's next move, then we'll have our answer.

The other question is what has Katarina being doing all this time she's been in hiding.

Firefight - The Blacklist Season 7 Episode 2

She has an army, but why? Is she keeping them around to keep her safe?

Is she still in the spy game? If she is, who is her employer?

There are plenty of questions surrounding Katarina and her motives.

There are also plenty of questions as to why Red is keeping so many secrets regarding Katarina.

Dembe Helps - The Blacklist Season 7 Episode 2

It has to do with more than loyalty to her, but we're not going to find out any time soon.

The shootout was interesting and took up a good portion of the hour.

It didn't seem like Red, and his team had a chance, but they beat the odds even though Dom got shot in the process.

He may be a goner, too, as things aren't looking good for him.

Red probably knows the reason behind why Katarina thinks Dom betrayed her, but he's staying silent.

So, it all goes back to Liz. The reason this is happening is because of her, and she's going to be in lots of trouble when that point gets revealed.

Ressler in Trouble - The Blacklist Season 7 Episode 2

It's silly that Ressler thinks Liz should keep Agnes around. It's even sillier that the rest of the team talked about how Liz needs to move on with her life.

Ressler is nothing but trouble. He's also to blame for the big mess at hand.

He was the one who went snooping behind Liz's back and stirred the hornet's nest.

He'll be on Katarina's short list soon enough.

Aram hasn't had much to do so far this season other than showing up here and there to provide information.

Francesca Leads - The Blacklist Season 7 Episode 2

Hopefully, he won't take a backseat and will have a more prominent role as the season plays out.

He's too good to be kept on the sidelines. Liz needs to bring him to the forefront to do more than just vet babysitters for Agnes.

Speaking about Agnes, it's nice that she's around but having to watch Liz try to live a "normal" life while doing her job is too much.

We don't need that kind of side story to take away from other important events.

Fighting Hard - The Blacklist Season 7 Episode 2

However, she probably will play a key role as Katarina starts to make her move to get closer to Liz.

How that will happen is anyone's guess.

Agnes might have called Katarina pretty, but she doesn't have a nice personality.

If I met her in a hallway, I'd come to the conclusion she's a royal bitch.

Catching his Breath - The Blacklist Season 7 Episode 2

She isn't warm and fuzzy at all.

Also, don't you think that Liz might be at least suspicious of a new woman moving in next door to her when she knows her mother is in town?

She's an FBI agent. Aren't they supposed to believe there is no such thing as coincidence.

A new neighbor would send an alarm bell off in my mind.

Then again, we're talking about Liz here.

Who Is the Patient? - The Blacklist Season 7 Episode 2

What did you all think?

Will Liz figure out who Katarina is or will it become a neverending cat-and-mouse game?

What is Harold's connection to all this mess?

Will Dom survive?
