Fearing for her safety after the events of Dorian’s ball, Vanessa flees to the moors.
Ethan insists on accompanying her and the two soon begin to bond at the Cut-Wife’s little cottage. In this series of photos, we see Ethan taking an ax to the tree that claimed Joan’s life and there are images of Vanessa and Ethan dancing.
What’s troubling though, are the last few photos. Is Vanessa using the “Poetry of Death” book? If so, for what purpose? Is she protecting herself from the Nightcomers, Ethan or something else? Either way, nothing good can come from using that book.
