Magnus and Alec are the literal definition of relationship goals. Their love for each other is both wholesome and pure and they always do their best to be honest and open with one another.

Watching their relationship play out is one of the many highlights of Shadowhunters. In addition to Malec being genuinely awesome, sometimes these two just manage to crack us up. And let’s face it, it’s impossible not to love a good comedic couple.

Although Shadowhunters still hasn’t been picked up for a fourth season, we’re not giving up hope. We still believe in the #SaveShadowhunters campaign and we refuse to accept that we’ll only get to see Malec in action for 12 more episodes.

Sometimes being a good warlock boyfriend means magically changing your partner’s dinner. Thankfully, Alec’s mom loved the improvements made to his original recipe but it did leave Alec a bit confused.
When Alec adresses the real mystery of Shadowhunters on 3×02 “The Powers That Be”
It looks like the solution was simpler than we thought. Magnus just likes to take showers. Who can blame him?
When Alec states that Magnus is quite magical on 1×08 “Bad Blood”
Conceal don’t feel. Alec made a quick save after receiving a confused glance from Lyda by following the statement up with, “He’s uh…very good at magic.” Smooth Alec, real smooth.
When Malec were partners in crime on 3×02 “The Powers That Be”
This was the all-time best scene on Shadowhunters hands down. Not only was it outright hilarious, but the fact that Magnus and Alec actually managed to pull everything off with the um…finesse and grace they displayed was impressive.
When Jace kills the mood on 2×06 “Iron Sisters”
These two were clearly not having it with the interruptions. Jace, we love you, but right now Alec clearly wants to kiss his warlock boyfriend.
When Magnus was playing hard to get on 1×10 “This World Inverted”
Everything about AU Alec was amazing, but the role reversal between him and Magnus had us laughing our asses off.
When they both did it on 3×02 “The Powers That Be”
Alec’s proud face when he says that he did it is absolutely adorable. However, it did take a minute for him to admit that he may have had a little help.
When Magnus is confused about Jalec’s parabatai bond on 2×08 “Love is the Devil”
This one may be more of a Magnus moment but it’s too great not to include. When Jace admits that he knows things about Alec because of their parabatai bond, Magnus is suddenly worried about what else the bond may show him.
When Alec wants to know Magnus’ number on 2×06 “Iron Sisters”
When you’ve been around for centuries you’re bound to have more lovers than your average Joe. But it’s safe to say from Alec’s face that being with someone who’s had seventeen….thousand exes may be a little nerve-wracking to someone fairly new in the dating world.
When Malec has a fanboy on 1×12 “Malec”
We were right there with Simon on this one. Alec, you can’t do something that amazing and expect everyone to keep their cool. Who wasn’t freaking out about that EPIC Malec kiss?
When Magnus tried to make a break for it on 3×02 “The Powers That Be”
This episode really was just comedy gold for these two. If we were doing this Friends style we would name it “The One Where Malec Turned Shadowhunters Into a Rom-Com.”
