After being mistaken for Bart’s grandfather, Homer is disappointed with how old and uncool he is. Luckily, he meets the owner of a donut truck who specializes in creative new recipes. Homer encourages newcomer Terrence and his family to move in next door, and immediately tries to emulate Terrence’s cool hipster style. However, Marge disagrees with how their new neighbors parent their children. When Bart gets a fight with Terrence’s son and Marge gets shamed for not breastfeeding Maggie, the friendship between the two families disintegrates.The new family draws the attention of other hipsters who flock to Springfield and turn it into a cool town. When Homer and Marge put out a fire started by their neighbor’s compost heap, the families reconcile. But the popularity of Springfield makes the hipsters declare the town “over” and they move on.
