The Simpsons Season 24 Episode 12 Recap: Love Is a Many Splintered Thing

Mary Spuckler returns to Springfield after she doesn’t achieve her dream of stardom in New York City. She and Bart resume their relationship, but he isn’t a very attentive boyfriend. Although Lisa warns both Bart and Homer not to take their women for granted, it isn’t long before Mary breaks up with Bart and Marge kicks Homer out again. Living on their own, the guys come up with a romantic plan to win back the affections of their former partners (after watching some British romantic comedies). Marge accepts Homer’s grand gesture and forgives him, but Mary is ready to move on with a new man.
