Days of Our Lives Spoilers For The Week of 9-15-25 Suggest Tate Is Playing With Fire, But I Don’t Believe It

Please let this be a fakeout.

Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 9-15-25 reveal Tate making a questionable decision, to say the least.

But what if it’s part of a bigger plan? I’m not thrilled, but at least Days of Our Lives wouldn’t be ruining Tate.

Tate Seems To Be Picking Up His Father’s Worst Habits

The latest writing team has reformed Brady, eliminating his sex addiction and inability to see past his lust when women tell him obvious lies — but is that all so Tate can take over that role?

Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 9-15-25 suggest Tate and Sophia have a one-night stand, which is stupid for too many reasons to count.

Tate insists that he doesn’t want anything more than a friendship or potentially a co-parenting relationship with Sophia and is committed to Holly, so if these spoiler clips are accurate, he’s throwing everything away.

Plus, even if he and Sophia were both single, this woman has been lying to him, and not about inconsequential things, either.

He knows that Sophia has told lie after lie about this adoption, starting by giving him a stock photo and claiming it was the adoptive parents.

Believing that there was any legitimate reason to do that is stupid, and hooking up with her again after that — especially after one accidental baby — is even worse.

None of this makes any sense, but soap hookups rarely do… as much as I’d like to forget it, JJ and Eve were a thing for a while.

Sophia Is Going To Drag Ari into This Mess, Too

While Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 9-15-25 simply state that Sophia confides in Ari, the truth is much more complicated.

Ari catches Sophia sneaking out of Tate’s room and confronts her.

The spoiler clip shows Ari telling Sophia that it’s better for Holly not to know, because she’ll lose it if she finds out.

Ugh. This is the kind of cheap, manufactured drama that I could do without.

Ari and Sophia’s friendship made little sense to begin with since Ari was new in town after living in Arizona for most of her teenage years, yet she and Sophia were instantly best friends who’d known each other forever.

I can overlook that — people’s pasts magically change when they move to Salem, like Tate being in sex ed class with Sophia in 9th grade, even though he was in California until senior year.

However, Ari actively encouraging Sophia to keep whatever happened with Tate to herself is a step too far.

Ari and Holly are cousins and close friends who got kidnapped together. There is no way Ari would pick Sophia over her.

This Affair Doesn’t Match The Friday Cliffhanger

Friday’s show ended with a predictable scene that didn’t seem to be going in the direction of Tate falling for Sophia again.

Tate confronted Sophia, then tried to convince her to stop lying and tell him what had happened with the adoption of the baby.

He was holding hands with her when, of course, Holly wandered in, looking for him.

Is this baby storyline driving you up the wall? Sound of in the comments.
The more you engage with posts like these, the more likely I am to be able to keep writing them. Win win!

This might lead to a big blowup if Holly gets jealous enough, but it shouldn’t end with Tate and Sophia kissing.

Not only does that make no sense, but we already know that if they hook up, it will be temporary.

Fall spoilers include Sophia going to extremes to try to break up Tate and Holly, while Ari tells her to cut it out and move on already.

With all the talk of how Holly once had a crush on Johnny, I’m fully expecting Sophia to make it look like Holly is the one cheating.

I suppose Sophia could win temporarily, making the revelation about baby Tesoro even more explosive, but it’s still irritating.

Could Tate Be Playing Sophia?

It’s probably wishful thinking, but if he were fake-seducing Sophia, at least that would make a certain amount of sense (even if Tate would still be playing with fire.)

That’s another soap trope, and it’s dangerous because it usually ends with the faker falling for their mark for real.

It’s the best outcome for this spoiler because otherwise Tate is just an idiot who thinks with what he has between his legs, and now that his father is done doing that, we don’t need anyone else picking up the slack.

Up until this point, though, Tate has completely accepted Sophia’s lies, though he wasn’t sold on her stammering about the adoptive parents whom she knew nothing about.

Still, if he’s suspicious enough and also angry at Holly for doubting him, he might go for the fake seduction and cause himself more trouble.

Plenty of Spoilers, But Nothing About The Investigation Into the Baby

Days of Our Lives often experiences pacing issues, but they are particularly egregious this week.

Brady and Steve were getting close to the truth at the same time Tate was begging her to stop telling him lies, which made for an exciting and effective Friday sequence.

So, why are there zero spoilers about this storyline this week?

Rafe grabbed the baby’s DNA. The test results will likely be compromised as usual, but that’s no reason to leave us waiting for more than a week.

Still, if you hate this story, there’s plenty of other spoilers to choose from, especially on the Xander/Sarah/Philip front.

Get Ready For Whiplash If You Love Xander and Sarah

The pattern of spoilers is worrisome.

First, Sarah sees Xander in a different light. Then Xander is annoyed by her. Then Sarah asks for forgiveness again.

That’s quite the roller coaster, from hopeful to hopes dashed to a possibility of reconciliation that probably won’t come true this early on.

It doesn’t matter anyway, because Philip is doubling down on insisting that Xander was not the person who beat him nearly to death.

When this secret comes out — and this is Salem, so we know it will eventually — Sarah will likely take another ride on her high horse to anti-Xanderville.

Maybe the two can call it even since Xander was hiding this major secret from Sarah just like she hid one about Philip from him, though I doubt it.

Plenty of DiMera Intrigue… But What’s Going On With Theo?

Every one of Thaao Penghlis’ appearances convinces me more that we’re dealing with Andre and not Tony, so it’s unsurprising that “Tony” will hijack the press conference to announce he’s suing Titan-Dimera and plans to take over both companies himself.

This is a mildly interesting plot, especially since I’m sure an attempt to double-cross Gabi is coming, and her response will be fun.

I’m more intrigued by Theo at the moment. He was distant and weird with JJ, and now spoilers say he’s going to warn Jada about his former friend and business partner.

What? Why?

A lot of people have theorized that Theo is still traumatized by JJ accidentally shooting him several years ago.

That powerful story wasn’t handled entirely correctly at the time, and now would be a great opportunity to revisit it, considering the current political climate.

However, since Theo had some secret meeting with Tony that we were only privy to the beginning of, I’m betting that’s what’s behind his behavior.

It’s hard to believe that Tony could convince Theo to do something illegal, but if he did, that would explain Theo’s fear of JJ’s badge and his subsequent attempts to undermine JJ’s career.
