Bashir Hamed is a Syrian refugee who, after living in Canada for years, finally gets to restart his medical career in the emergency department of Toronto’s York Memorial Hospital.

Despite working as a trauma surgeon and emergency medicine doctor in Syria and Turkey, Bashir must start over as a resident once again.

Actor Hamza Haq plays Bashir Hamed on the TV series Transplant.
