Oscar van Rhijn is the son of Agnes van Rhijn and is one of the few people to challenge her.

Although from an "old money" family, but is fascinated by the nouveau riche and eager to connect with them, especially the Russell family.

Actor Blake Ritson plays Oscar in the HBO series The Gilded Age.
