The conclave is gearing up to be the bloodiest event in The 100's history — and that's really saying something for this incredibly violent show.

I'm not sure who this guy is, but odds are he doesn't stand a chance against Octavia.

Here, for instance, it's not clear whether Ilian is attacking Octavia, or protecting her.

It's unclear whether Ilian and Octavia are somehow working together during the conclave or if they've fully accepted that they must fight one another to the death for the fate of their respective clans.

But damn! Ilian's got some serious battle moves. Who'd have thought?

Is it awkward for these two former lovers to meet on the battlefield for the conclave? Probably.

Poor Ilian. He was just enjoying his simple farmer's life before getting involved with Octavia and pulled into this huge mess.

What is Echo up to? It doesn't seem like she's preparing to fight in the conclave. But if I had to guess, I'd say she still has a trick or two up her sleeve.

Octavia may be Indra's surrogate daughter, but the Trikru warrior has a biological child as well. Here, she shares a motherly moment with Gaia.

Despite the possible tension, Octavia and Indra share a warm moment together before the battle. Is this the first time we've seen these typically-stoic women hug one another? Maybe.

Indra is presenting her protege with a weapon of some kind — which is a little bit strange, because aren't they on opposing sides? Indra represents Trikru, while Octavia is (as far as we know) is representing Skaikru.

Octavia is preparing for (quite literally) the fight of her life. So who better to get advice from than her mentor, Indra?
