Jordan Chase knows. This week’s episode of Dexter concluded with a scene that made raised the stakes for the show’s title character and made it clear that he and Lumen must speed up their plans for revenge.

Various plot holes contributed to another lackluster episode of Dexter this week. But the episode at least ended with a surprise, giving this critic hope that the tension will grow even more intense as the season progresses.

What code?!? Dexter breaks Harry’s rules in a major way this week, getting far too close to Lumen. Elsewhere, Deb and Quinn also take a big step in their relationship.

The action picked up big time on Dexter this week. It was nice to see our favorite serial killer on the run again, forced to making quick decisions.

Not much is happening this season on Dexter. The episode “First Blood” made especially little progress on every storyline, leaving our critic feeling something he never felt before while watching this show: bored.

Dexter learned the identity of the battered woman that witnessed his killing of Boyd this week. He also learned an important, troubling fact about Lumen Pierce.

The fifth season of Dexter continued its slow start this week, but at least the episode “Hello Bandit” introduced us to the title character’s latest victim. It was nice to meet you, Boyd Fowler.
