Jane: I was short 50 cents, so Haz said I could bring it by tomorrow.
Nicolette: You are the most honest person I know.
Jane: Well, if you don't have your word, what do you have?

Susan: A protest, really?
Nicolette: How'd you find out?
Susan: That's not important.
Nicolette: You haven't told Mum, have you?
Susan: No, but you've answered my next question. She doesn't know, does she?
Nicolette: We don't want her to get her hopes up, or tell the police and have us shut down.
Susan: Andrew doesn't know either? The Education Department has made their decision. The Council have approved it. Terese owns the land.
Nicolette: Decisions can be reversed. I know that you're friends with Terese, but this is for the school.
Wendy: The school you love so much.
Nicolette: A protest may be a long shot, but we have to try. Please don't say anything.

Mackenzie: Do you want to keep seeing her [Holly]?
Haz: Yes
Mackenzie: Then you have to tell her what you need.

David: None of us is defined by our worst moment.
Krista: That's easy for you to say. You don't have my history.
David: No, but I have my own.

I was 100% worried that I'd inherited my mum's trash taste in men, but Haz is such a decent guy. Lovely, really.

Holly

Cara: Maybe next time you have school holidays, you can go up to spend time with Pa, fishing or whatever.
JJ: You trying to get rid of me?
Cara: Of course not. I thought you might like some time doing man stuff with him.
JJ: This isn't exactly doing our nails.
Cara: Yes, but I thought you might like some of the male influence you've been missing.
JJ: I just wanted to know where I come from. I have half his [JJ's biological father's] DNA. Isn't it natural to be curious?

Aaron: You didn't tell her?
David: I didn't see a reason to tell a complete stranger that I was deregistered for medical malpractice.

If Paul hadn't done what he did, everything might be different now.

Toadie

Toadie: I don't want anything to do with Melanie.
Susan: I understand that, but as parents, it's not about us. It's about what's best for Nell.

Reece: I don't trust myself not to burst into tears at the gate.
Byron: I love you.
Reece: I love you too. More than you know.

Why should I trust you, Melanie? You have done nothing but lie. Why should I believe a word that comes out of your mouth?

Toadie

Paul: I only did it because I had no choice.
Sergeant Thompson: You had options. Calling us right then and there might have been a good idea.
