Bucky: You okay?
Sam: Yeah. Just thinking about all the shit Sharon had to go through. And Nagel referring to the American test subject like Isaiah wasn't even a real person. It just makes me wonder how many people have to get steamrolled to make way for this hunk of metal.
Bucky: Well, it depends on who you ask. That hunk of metal saved a lot of lives.
Sam: Yeah, I get that, all right. Maybe I made a mistake.
Bucky: You did.
Sam: Yeah. Maybe I shouldn't have put it in a museum. Maybe I should have destroyed it.
Bucky: Look, that shield represents a lot of things to a lot of people, including me. The world is upside down, and we need a new Cap, and it ain't gonna be Walker. So before you go and destroy it, I'm gonna take it from him myself.

Do you remember how scared we were when we took the serum? Felt like my veins were on fire. Prayed it'd kill me. But it was worth it because this world is ours. Should have been Mama Donya's. And we're gonna use all of our strength to give it to the kids in those camps.

Karli

Sharon: Look, you know the whole hero thing is a joke, right? I mean, the way you gave up that shield -- deep down, you must know it's all hypocrisy.
Zemo: He knows. And not so deep down.

Bucky: So what are you doing here?
Sharon: I stole Steve's shield, remember? I also took the wings for your ass so that you could save his ass from his ass. Unlike you, I didn't have the Avengers to back me up, so I'm off the grid in Madripoor.
Sam: Hey, don't blow that smoke at me; I was on the run too.
Sharon: Was, is, big difference.

Zemo: You must have really looked up to Steve. But I realized something when I met him. The danger with people like him -- America's Super Soldiers -- is that we put them on pedestals.
Sam: Watch your step, Zemo.
Zemo: They become symbols. Icons. And then we start to forget about their flaws. From there, cities fly, innocent people die, movements are formed, wars are fought. You remember that, right? As a young soldier sent to Germany to stop a mad icon. Do we want to live in a world full of people like the Red Skull?

When Steve refused to sign the Sokovia Accords, you backed him. You broke the law, and you stuck your neck out for me. I'm asking you to do it again.

Bucky

Lemar: I know you want this; I get it. But we've literally tried everything we can here. So has Langley; we keep drawing blanks.
John: So we bet on someone who's got a better hand.

Bucky: Why did you give up that shield?
Sam: Why are you making such a big deal out of something that has nothing to do with you?
Bucky: Steve believed in you. He trusted you. He gave you that shield for a reason. That shield that is — that is everything he stood for. That is his legacy. He gave you that shield, and you threw it away like it was nothing.
Sam: Shut up.
Bucky: So maybe he was wrong about you. And if he was wrong about you, then he was wrong about me.

Bucky: I'm not a killer anymore.
Isaiah: You think you can wake up one day and decide who you wanna be? It doesn't work like that. Well, maybe it does for folks like you.

Lennox: Karli, we can't stay here for long. Six months ago, would you have imagined people supporting the cause like this?
Karli: We're not playing no more. We can't let the same assholes who were put back in power after The Blip win. The GRC care more about the people who came back than the ones who never left. We got a glimpse of how things could be. I need to know that you're all committed because, after tomorrow, there's no going back.
Matias: Yeah. One World.
Soldiers: One People.
Matias: One World.
Soldiers: One People.
Matias: One World!
Soldiers: One People!

John: Okay, look, you know, things have gotten kind of, uh...
Lemar: Chaotic?
John: Yeah, well, The GRC, they're doing the best they can to get things up and running smoothly, post Blip.
Lemar: Reactivating citizenship, social security, healthcare. Basically, just managing resources for the refugees who were displaced by the return.
Sam: The Global Repatriation Council does all that. I get that. So why exactly are you two here?
Lemar: Well, they provide the resources, and we keep things stable.
John: Yeah, violent revolutionaries aren't usually good for anyone's cause.
Sam: Usually said by the people with the resources.

Look, here's the thing, uh, I'm not Tony Stark; I'm not Dr. Banner, okay? I don't have the flashiest gadgets; I don't have super strength. But what I do have is guts. Something Captain America always had, always needs to have, and I'm gonna need every ounce of it because I got big shoes to fill.

The Falcon and The Winter Soldier Season 1 Quotes

Steve represented the best in all of us. Courageous, righteous, hopeful. And he mastered posing stoically. The world has been forever changed. A few months ago, billions of people reappeared after five years away, sending the world into turmoil. We need new heroes. Ones suited for the times we're in. Symbols are nothing without the women and men that give them meaning. And this thing... I don't know if there's ever been a greater symbol. But it's more about the man who propped it up, and he's gone. So, today we honor Steve's legacy, but also, we look to the future. So, thank you, Captain America. But this belongs to you.

Sam

Torres: You see these guys? These are the guys you gotta worry about. I've been stumbling onto their manifestos on message boards. They call themselves the Flag Smashers.
Sam: Is that a new thing? Bad guys give themselves bad names?
Torres: There's a lot worse names than that one. But basically, they think that the world was better during The Blip. Trust me, it wasn't.
Sam: Trust me. Every time something gets better for one group, it gets worse for another.
Torres: Yeah. Essentially, these people, they want a world that's unified without borders. So, you could see why a lot of people are into that.
