On American Crime Season 2 Episode 8, Anne is determined to get Taylor the help he needs, but unfortunately he doesn't see how she will be able to help him out. It doesn't help that Taylor's lawyer thinks he should take a plea deal so he can get a reduced sentence, but Anne doesn't want Taylor to admit he was guilty when she knows he wasn't in the right state of mind. Anne is contacted by a man named Sebastian who tells her he is willing to help her with her sons case by going after the Leyland school district. Anne is at first confused, but he tells her he knows what happened to her son was wrong and it will be easy to take the school down by hacking into their files and releasing all their dirty laundry. Anne agrees to Sebastian's terms and is ready to take the school down.

Meanwhile, Dan is on the hunt for Leslie and wants to take her down. Dan tells Leslie she needs to take reasonability for her actions and accept defeat when it comes to the school board wanting to fire her. Leslie tries to reason with him, but he doesn't want to hear it and is convinced she has been trying to put the blame on others. Dan eventually goes home and is surprised to learn Becca had sold drugs to Taylor before he shot Wes. Dan takes away her phone and the drugs and tells Becca to not say a word to anymore, but Steph wants to come clean about the entire thing.
