Ten years have passed. Piltover is celebrating Progress Day and Heimerdinger informs Jayce that he'll be making the big speech.

At the Progress Day Fair, Caitlyn, now an Enforcer, is posted to guard her family's tent where her mother is showing off Jayce.

Silco's gang, led by Sevica, is bribing an airship pilot to carry their Shimmer. Firelights are lurking nearby. They attack and plan to destroy all the Shimmer. Jinx is onboard, guarding the shipment. She strikes back and drives off the Firelights, injuring some of Silco's people in the process.

Jayce and Viktor show Heimerdinger their newest invention, a safe Hextech gem that can be used to power many inventions to make life easier for the people of Piltover and Zaun. Heimerdinger insists they hold off on announcing this development.

At the site of the attacked airship, Caitlyn sneaks on board and finds one of Silco's men, wounded and hiding. Marcus arrives and sends the man to Stillwater Prison.

In Zaun, Sevica checks in with Silco, arguing that Jinx is a liability. Silco sends her out and talks with Jinx who is listening in from the rafters.

At a Council soiree, Mel and Elora discuss Jayce. When Mel is alone with Jayce, she encourages him to unveil the new Hextech gem, against Heimerdinger's advice.

Jinx tinkers in her lab, haunted by visions of the past, talking to herself. She's upset that Silco has sent Sevika to clean up the aftermath of the botch airship transaction. She vows that she'll show him.

Viktor waits for Jayce's speech, prepared to unveil the new Hextech gem. At the last minute, Jayce takes Heimerdinger's route and doesn't announce it.

Outside, Enforcers are gathered. They aren't friendly towards Caitlyn. Caitlyn spots a fire and when they all rush to it, they hear a child's voice that lures them in. It's a trap set by Jinx and she blows them up.

In the aftermath of the explosion, Jinx breaks into the Academy and steals the new gemstone with the research papers pertaining to it. The Council meets to discuss the ramifications of the Undercity having the gemstone. Mel takes the opportunity to promote Jayce to a Council seat so that he can oversee the safety measures.

Back in Jinx's lab, Silco screams for her attention and begins berating her. But she shows him the gemstone and he is silenced.

Jayce visits Caitlyn in recovery to tell her about his promotion and offers her a place on his security detail. She refuses and is intent on solving the airship incident. She visits Stillwater Prison to see the man she found but he's recovering from an attack. She goes to see his attacker. It's Vi.
