Jenna feels lonely now that she’s been relegated to the sidelines in because of Gabi and Matty. In an effort to get her mind off it, Jenna continues talking with Brian at a local bar, and Sadie and Tamara, celebrating her limited time before heading off to college in the east, end up at the same bar. Sadie begins talking with a young man who likes how much of a bitch she is, and Tamara gets engaged to one of Brian’s friends.

Elsewhere, Matty and Gabby go fishing with his biological father; who only confirms what Matty fears the most: they’re not a good match. When Matty asks Lacey where Jenna is, Lacey refuses to tell him saying he had his chance and he broke Jenna’s heart, so it’s time to let her go.

Jake, bummed about getting rejected, ends up in bed with Gabby, and tries to tell Matty about the situation. Before he can though Matty praises him for being such a good friend and always telling the truth; Jake sees Matty looking down at Jenna and tells him if he loves her he needs to tell her how he feels.
