Agreus' ship follows the airship, as they don't want to die.

Imogen worries about where they are porting, but Agreus reassures them that they will be safe.

The city is not as Agreus remembers it, as it's no longer lush and beautiful.

The soldiers of the city take Imogen away from Agreus.

Philo and Vignette argue about the murder, and Philo believes that a pixie probably did it.

Imogen gets forced into the main town, where the guards release her. After she wanders a bit, another guard takes control of her.

She sees humans and fae living together in harmony, both platonically and romantically.

She gets thrown into a house and meets a woman named Lenora, who doesn't understand why Imogen is so nervous.

All Imogen wants is to see Agreus.

Agreus won't stop threatening one of the lieutenants, which causes a rift between him and the guards.

They arrest Agreus and put him up toward a fireing squad, where they kill his entire commanding crew.

Millworthy continues to enact his plans.

Sophie continues her flirtatious deception with Jonah.

Vignette still doens't like Philo's plan to reveal that he is the true son of the dead Chancelor.

Vignette's friend and Black Raven asssociate starts to die.

Tourmaline continues to have terrofying visions, and everytime she has visions, she kills something. She has a vision of Bolero's death.

Imogen continues to be escorted places by a guard, while Agreus reels from the loss of his crew via firing squad.

Imogen got taken to Agreus, where they have an emotional and intimate reunion.

Agreus shows Imogen a picture of Lenora thats hung up in the house they are now forced to live in.

Tourmaline goes to Mima to try and find some refuge from the dead seer she continuously sees.

Mima channels Tourmaline to try and figure out if she's in her head. Mima reveals that the seer passed her power to Tourmaline until her death.

Vignette once again gets into a disagreement with Dahlia, the Black Raven leader.

Millworthy and Philo continue their troubled alliance by discussing their failed attempts to get Jonah to be lighter on the fae, and to attend the ball.

He avoids the guards that want him dead and not on the side of the humans.

Ezra continues to claim Imogen got abducted.

Philo starts to enact his plan that he is related to teh deceased Chancellor, and not Jonah.

But instead of being able to announcing, his plans get interrupted by the Black Raven. They bring Oona to the ballroom so the humans can see what they're doing to the fae.

As they prepare Oona to try and fly, the head guard, the asshole, shoots Oono in the heart.

Philo, having not enacted his plan, confronts Vignette about the Black Raven's plan. They embrace, happy that both are safe.

There's an aggressive knocking at their door, and its members of the Black Raven summoning Vignette to the wall.

Hanging on the wall are Dahlia and Bolero's head with their wings.
